In this class Kathy Green will teach you to cast on, knit and purl. You will need a smooth, light-colored worsted weight yarn and size 8 needles. Want to learn a little more than just knit or purl? Want to knit a sock? Come join this class and learn various techniques for both top down and toe up socks. Bring in a pattern and supplies for a sock you are interested in knitting. Bring your desired size 6 needle for small circumference knitting. You will need to know how to knit, purl, cast on and knitting in the round.
Good finishing will make your projects look their best. This class will cover how to create seams, grafting, pick up and knit techniques, and blocking.
This class will build on the basics of inkle weaving. There will be a special focus on Monk's Belt weaving (picking), how to read inkle weaving drafts and problem solving. Duration: 3 hours Supplies Needed: Scissors, inkle loom, two different colors of cotton yarn; one needs to be thicker than the other.
