Sweater Teach Along

Are you ready to try a sweater?  Are you ready to knit a sweater that fits?  This Teach-Along will guide and support you on a sweater making journey.

Each session will cover a variety of techniques to help you knit a better sweater.  You will also have time for one-on-one questions and support.

The Teach-Along schedule:

March 16th How to plan a sweater
Selecting yarn,
How to make a gauge swatch,
Finding the right size,
How to customize to ensure a great fit, and
Tips to get you started.

March 23rd The Yoke
Short Rows,
Increases and decreases,
Cabling without a cable needle,
Keeping track of your pattern, and
Trying on as you go.

March 30th Armholes and Sleeves
Transitioning from the upper to lower body,
How to avoid holes at the underarms, and
Tips for small circumference knitting.

April 6th Finishing Techniques
Picking up stitches,
Sewing seams (the class pattern does not require sewing), and

The class will use “Galleny Force,” a top down pattern in DK weight yarn.  If you wish to use another pattern, please consult with the instructor before purchasing yarn for this Teach-Along.

Cost:  $30 per session, or $100 if you wish to sign up for the entire series.
