September Sweater Knit a Long

Joins us on Zoom to knit the Visser Sweater by Anna Maltz. This is a DK weight sweater with Dolman sleeves and a boat neck. Pattern will be gifted to you when you purchase the yarn at Ewe and I. Zoom meetings are Monday evening from 7-8 Starting September 13th and ending November 29th. Come join the fun and discover this fascinating pattern, it has a very unique construction.

Beginning Spinning

Wendy Clark will walk you through fiber selection, fiber preparation all the way to making a plied yarn. Included will be content on how spinning wheels work and how to make them work for you. This is a 3 session course beginning on the date you choose to begin.

Refresher Crochet Class.
Crochet is a process of creating textiles by using a crochet hook to interlock loops of yarn, thread, or strands of other materials. In this class we will re-learn how to make a foundation chain and the three most common crochet stitches. this class will kick start your desire to make scarves, pot holders, face cloths, throw pillow covers; basically anything with four sides. Fundamentals like counting stitches, keeping sides straight and even, and tips and tricks will be shared to help revive the muscle memory for folks who've not picked up a hook in years. 
Any yarn and any hook is appropriate. Students will receive a written pattern and personal instruction. Class attendees are expected to bring a crochet hook and yarn. Fortunately Ewe & I has a wide variety of both! We're on hand to help you pick out your tools the day of if you want assistance.

Socks!

Want to learn to make a pair of socks? This is it. We will be hosting a 3 lesson sock class. We will start with one end of the beast, 2 weeks later we will make a heel, and 2 weeks later nip the top or the toe.....More details to follow as to whether we make a toe up or top down sock but socks they will be......unless you make an elephant nose muffler instead.

Entrelac!

Here is another new skill to learn. Entrelac, looks harder that it really is. Peggy will walk you through a scarf using this new technique and the so many new patterns are at your disposal! Entrelac is a knitting technique used to create a textured diamond pattern. While the result resembles basket-woven strips of knitted fabric, the actual material comprises interconnected squares on two different orientations. Unlike many textured knitting techniques, Entrelac allows for colorwork as well.

Brioche!

 We will be resuming classes cautiously.  We ask that all participants wear a mask and be prepared to safely distance from the others in the class.  We all want to stay healthy and well!

 


Class Policies

We encourage you to sign up for classes online or in the store.  Please register in advance. 

We may cancel a class if the minimum number of students has not been met 2 days prior to class time.
Refunds will be given in full 7 days prior to class, 50% will be refunded 4 days prior to class, and no refunds within 2 days of class.
