Sonatine Lace Cowl Class

Learn to knit lace in with this quick and fun project. The Sonatine pattern is mostly done with a
garter stitch, but the lace section is gorgeous. This is a great way to expand your knitting skills
in a fast project that you can show off this season.
You will learn how to read a chart, slip stitches, stripped colorwork, lace, seamed finishing, how
to weave in the ends invisibly.
Supplies needed: one skein of DK yarn, size 6 or 7 knitting needles, tapestry needle, stitch
markers.
You have two options for your project, it can be completed in a solid color or with two colors. If
you choose two colors for your project, the colors will be done in sections and does not require
experience with color work.
Yarn Color Option and Yardage:
- Solid color: One skein of yarn 200 yards
- Two colors: Main color 150 yards, contrast color 50 yards
Homework: before the class, please complete the first garter work section, so we can
immediately dive into the lace section. A Non Refundable pattern will be emailed to you via Ravelry when you sign up for the class
Skills Required: knitting, purling, increases.
Purchase yarn with the class one or two skeins for solid or two color cowl.
