Hudson Valley Cider Gansey Sweater Class

In this class you will have the opportunity to develop your cable skills to make this beautiful sweater by Thea Colman. Hudson Valley Cider is an updated version of the traditional gansey sweater. It is worked from the bottom up in the round, short rows are added to shape the neckline and shoulders. The sweater features a mix of ribbing, seed, garter stitch and cables. The patterns alone are easy, but play off of each other so well to create a striking piece!
The pattern provides two necklines: cowl or crew neck. A Non Refundable pattern will be emailed to you via Ravelry when you sign up for the class
You will learn how to read a chart, cables, short-rows.
Supplies needed: 1200-2100 yards of yarn, cable needle, recommended knitting needles size 7 & 9, multiple stitch markers, waste yarn (for life lines).
Homework: Bring your completed swatch that is at least 4” wide/long. Be sure to wash and dry your swatch so you know what the finished fabric will look like.
