It is worked from the bottom up in the round, short rows are added to shape the neckline and shoulders. The sweater features a mix of ribbing, seed, garter stitch and cables. The patterns alone are easy, but play off of each other so well to create a striking piece!

The pattern provides two necklines: cowl or crew neck.

You will learn how to read a chart, cables, short-rows.

Instructor: Melissa Zentz
Instructor Bio: Melissa Zentz is a a knitter, spinner, wool processor, and lifelong learner. Her grandmother taught her to knit when she was young, but her love for the craft blossomed in the early 2000s. During that time she developed her skills, and even taught her grandmother how to knit socks. She continued to ask questions and wanted to know more about yarn, wool, and sheep as a whole. Melissa started purchasing hand spun yarn, and then thought" " I could do that. So she learned to spin and eventually learned how to wash a sheep's fleece and process it by hand as well. It is a wonderful thing to see the entire process take shape from fleece to garment. Part of what keeps her connected to the fiber arts is history. Melissa finds inspiration in the history of the craft, whether that's the people that taught us or Howe regional patterns developed.
