Sample Weaving at its Best!
Have you ever wondered if you might like to weave a particular draft but are hesitant because you’re not sure how to dress your loom? It looks too daunting and complex to dress? Maybe after all the work of dressing the loom, you begin to weave and realize you’re not enjoying the journey?
This is the class for you! Brad & Joan will have five floor looms dressed and ready to go, each with different threading and treadling. All you have to do is weave, following the treadling pattern posted on each loom. Plus, if you’ve not woven on one yet, you will have the opportunity to use a floor loom for the first time!
You will learn Clasped Weft, Undulating Twill, Pinwheel and Overshot.
You will walk away with the sample you’ve woven from each loom. Included with your samples are the pdfs, for future reference.
Yarn provided for weaving
Students please bring: Tape Measure, scissors, Finishing/tapestry needles
Students need knowledge of: weaving basics, 4-shaft knowledge, and hem stitching
Limit of 5 students per class
