Granny Squares Galore!
We have created a fun new class series where every other month we meet new friends, chat, and learn two new granny squares. After each class, you will go home with printed patterns for the granny squares, then you will seam them together to create a a square that will eventually turn into a blanket! Each class will showcase two different types of granny squares, and you will be instructed on how to create them, along with how to seam them together.
Beginner: You must know how to chain and single crochet.
In the first class we will cover how to create a classic granny square along with a sunflower granny square.
What to expect to to learn: How to crochet in the round, double crochets, and double crochet clusters. We will discuss how to weave in your ends and how to seam your squares together to create a finished object.
Supplies you need to bring: 4.0mm-5.0mm hooks and DK or Worsted weight yarn.
Three different colors of yarn, one for the center of your flower, the petals, and border. The same 3 colors can be used in your classic granny square as well, or you may choose to bring different colors.
You may choose to create sunflowers, but other colors are welcome as well. This is a great way to use your some of your stash yarn.
