Reading a Crochet Pattern
This class will use the Virus Shawl pattern as our sample pattern to follow. So dubbed because the pattern replicates, like a virus, it is a repeating crochet shell that grows out and down to make a triangular shawl. (This pattern of stitches is also sometimes called German Shells or German Scallops.) It uses chains, single crochet, and double crochet stitches. This class will review the written pattern and stitch diagram so students can learn to understand either or both. We'll also touch on crochet stitch name localization.
