January to March Knit and Crochet-a-Long

For our Crocheters we have a Pocket Shawl that can have beads or not!  Margaret has agreed to meet on Zoom and do a crochet a long!
Note the pockets are two different colors.  Margaret made this out of two colors of the  the Ella Rae Classic wool and it is a substantial product that will really keep you or a loved one warm....and pockets are big enough for a book so curling up with cocoa is a total reality.
If you would like to join the Crochet a Long the store will purchase the pattern for you if you purchase the yarn at Ewe and I.  Check out the pattern on Ravelry.

Knitters!

For Knitters,  Susanna IC may not have put out a Mystery Knit a Long this year but the last two have been so fun why don't we just do them either one or both, you can choose which one you like.
Hireath was done in 2020.  Lots of Cables with lace, a more solid product.  You can do a Small. Medium, or Large....no beads, a few beads or many.  That is what I loved about these patterns three sizes and lengths.  Lots of Blingy beads or just what you want to put onto it!

My Hireath was small with very few beads because it was all new to me and during Lambing season!

I knit this with the Malabrigo Mechita a single ply yarn that drapes really well.  I put very few beads on it and the next year I had been so in entranced by the beads I put them ALL on!
Presenting Saudade I used 2 plus skeins of Fyberspates Vivacious 4-ply.  Lovely to work with and the Miyuki 6/0 beads.  This was the Medium shawl size but I went large on the lace....you could say I got carried away (and missed the stopping point for the Medium).

Hiraeth  or  Saudade

Again if you purchase the yarn here let us know you are in the Knit a Long the Store will purchase the pattern for you and put it into your ravelry Library and/or email it to you.

I have to say these were very fun to do.  Lacework only on the knit rows always purling back to the start so you have a chance to catch your breath.  Lifelines and heavy use of stitch markers made it easier to fix any problems...not that there were that many. hmmmm.
