Fiber Prep, What to do with a Fleece
Fiber Prep Workshop: Sorting a fleece can feel daunting! What parts to keep,
which parts to discard or compost? During this workshop we will analyze a raw
fleece straight off the sheep and skirt it (the term for sorting the fiber). You will
learn several washing techniques based on end use. By the end of this course, you
will feel confident to take on that fleece and have a greater understanding of the
many traits of wool fibers and what their best uses are.
No prior experience required. A great workshop for knitters/crocheters to expand
their understanding of yarn fibers. Or the next step for spinners, felters, and fiber
producers a like! All materials provided.
